ANTIOXIDANT

Black currant

Antioxidant -- also: black currant extract, blackcurrant, currant

How it works

  • Maintain -- anthocyanin and vitamin-C-rich fruit extract with antioxidant and mild anti-inflammatory activity

  • Exchange -- emerging (unconfirmed-citation) research suggests a black-currant fraction may stimulate intestinal L-cells, a natural incretin-pathway mechanism -- flag as research-queue, not a label claim

  • Transform -- contributes to the ageLOC Meta blend's measured improvement in postprandial metabolic markers

  • Exchange -- black currant is unusually rich in both anthocyanins and vitamin C simultaneously, and preclinical evidence suggests the two may mutually enhance each other's antioxidant stability, though this interaction has not been isolated and confirmed specifically within the ageLOC Meta blend

Form matters

The same nutrient can be made in very different forms -- and a study done on one form does not automatically apply to another. Methylcobalamin is not cyanocobalamin; magnesium glycinate is not magnesium oxide; a whole-food extract is not the synthetic isolate that was studied. Two things decide whether what is in the bottle behaves like the research: the exact form, and independent lab verification (a Certificate of Analysis) that the form and dose on the label are truly what is inside. Without a COA, you are trusting a label, not the science.
