How it works

  • Maintain — the pigment fraction is dominated by cyanidin 3-glucoside and cyanidin 3-malonylglucoside, anthocyanins with measured radical-scavenging activity

  • Transform — randomized, placebo-controlled work on a standardized Moro cultivar extract reported greater reduction in waist circumference and fat mass than placebo in overweight adults

  • Adapt — a standardized red orange phytocomplex has been studied for skin responses to ultraviolet exposure, a photoprotection rather than a sunscreen mechanism

  • Maintain — anthocyanin content is cold-dependent and cultivar-dependent, which is why Moro, Tarocco and Sanguinello grown around Mount Etna carry pigment levels other sweet oranges do not; storage and processing degrade it further

Form matters

The same nutrient can be made in very different forms — and a study done on one form does not automatically apply to another. Methylcobalamin is not cyanocobalamin; magnesium glycinate is not magnesium oxide; a whole-food extract is not the synthetic isolate that was studied. Two things decide whether what is in the bottle behaves like the research: the exact form, and independent lab verification (a Certificate of Analysis) that the form and dose on the label are truly what is inside. Without a COA, you are trusting a label, not the science.
