How it works
Exchange — a prebiotic fiber selectively fermented by gut bacteria; feeds Bifidobacteria and other beneficial species
Maintain — shifts the microbial community toward a bifidogenic profile and supports short-chain-fatty-acid production that helps maintain the gut barrier
Transform — fermented into short-chain fatty acids -- primarily acetate and propionate, with less butyrate than some other prebiotic fibers -- by the Bifidobacteria it selectively feeds, a distinct SCFA profile from inulin or resistant starch
Adapt — effective at notably low daily doses (often under 2 grams) compared with most other prebiotic fibers, proposed to produce less of the gas and bloating associated with higher-dose fermentable fibers
Form matters
The same nutrient can be made in very different forms — and a study done on one form does not automatically apply to another. Methylcobalamin is not cyanocobalamin; magnesium glycinate is not magnesium oxide; a whole-food extract is not the synthetic isolate that was studied. Two things decide whether what is in the bottle behaves like the research: the exact form, and independent lab verification (a Certificate of Analysis) that the form and dose on the label are truly what is inside. Without a COA, you are trusting a label, not the science.
